Every year, the Gulf Coast Humane Society welcomes thousands of displaced animals, each with their own story and need for care. Many are orphaned kittens and puppies too young for adoption, injured or sick pets who need time to heal, or animals who simply need a quiet break from the shelter environment. Gulf Coast Humane Society’s Silver Paws VIP Program is all about giving senior pets that are adopted from the Gulf Coast Humane Society shelter, the second chance they deserve—by connecting them with individuals and communities who can offer companionship, comfort, and care.

In addition to our volunteer program, the Gulf Coast Humane Society offers opportunities for individuals to fulfill community service requirements while making a positive impact on the lives of animals.

Through this initiative, community members can report animal abuse, neglect, dog fighting, cockfighting, and other cruelty 100% anonymously. While Florida law typically requires your name when reporting animal concerns, our partnership with Crime Stoppers ensures that your identity is never revealed.
