Bruno (Adopted)
Do not judge a book by it’s cover, first impressions are not always correct! That is the case with many GCHS shelter dogs, who have gate reactivity, which in turn hurts their chances of having a meet and greet with potential adopters. GCHS’ trainer, Joy, explains what gate reactivity is and what the real outcome is when you get past the gate reactivity on Friday’s Furry Friends June 16 segment. Bruno is one great example…he is a loving dog, but shows otherwise with his gate reactivity.
Cameron and Honey were featured on Friday’s Furry Friends June 9! Cameron was soon adopted after and Honey definitely made lots of friends after her appearance!

Learn About Heartworm
By Bruno Zanini
Heartworm disease poses a significant threat to the health and well-being of our beloved pets, making heartworm medication a crucial aspect of their care regimen. Transmitted through the bite of infected mosquitoes, heartworms can wreak havoc on a pet’s cardiovascular system, leading to potentially fatal consequences if left untreated. Heartworm medication not only serves as a preventive measure against this debilitating disease but also plays a vital role in interrupting the heartworm life cycle, ultimately safeguarding pets from its devastating effects. A yearly heartworm test is recommended to ensure you can purchase the proper preventative prescription medication.
Regular administration of heartworm medication is essential for maintaining the long-term health of pets, as prevention is far easier and safer than treatment once infection occurs. By staying consistent with heartworm prevention, pet owners not only protect their furry companions from suffering but can also save themselves from the emotional and financial burdens associated with heartworm treatment. Prioritizing heartworm medication ensures that pets can lead happy, healthy lives free from the threat of this potentially deadly disease.
